    Before & After

    Benefits of Epoxy Flooring

A solid epoxy retains its thickness as it does not have water or solvents that evaporate while curing. Solid epoxy coatings are more abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, and stain resistant. Installed properly, your new floor can last for 20 years or more, even in heavy traffic areas.

    • Long Lasting: Epoxy floor coatings are resistant to high traffic and daily abuse
    • Durable: Epoxy floors are resistant to chemicals and harsh substances
Attractive – Available in a wide range of colors with the ability to add flakes, glitter or create patterns, designs and logos
    • Easy to maintain: The epoxy flooring surface is non-porous making it resistant to stains and is easy to clean and remove dust, dirt, grease and oil.
    • Safety: Epoxy flooring can be textured for increased resistance to slip hazards. It is also resistant to heat, impact, chemical spills and fire. The highly reflective glossy coating can also increase the effects of lighting

    CONCRETE FLOOR REPAIRS

    Concrete Floor Repairs

    CONCRETE FLOOR REPAIRS FAQ

    Can you resurface old concrete?

Concrete resurfacing is a way to refinish old concrete to look new again. A concrete coating is applied over the existing surface, offering a variety of color, texture and pattern options. This type of decorative concrete restoration can be done on driveways, patios, pool decks and even indoor floors.

Can you repair badly damaged concrete?

Yes, deeply spalled concrete can be repaired with a decorative overlay. Think of this as applying stucco to the concrete. We use a variety of concrete materials and application methods to achieve the best results for the specific situation.

Will new concrete stick to old concrete?

No, the majority of cement within a concrete mix doesn't contain any natural bonding agents – so when fresh concrete is added on top of an existing layer of concrete, the two won't join together. Once cured, the new concrete will simply sit on top as a separate layer. This will not produce a strong, serviceable floor.

Can you touch up stained concrete floors?

To change the color, we're covering the two most common solutions here: You can re-stain the floors (by applying a new penetrating sealant) or paint them (by applying an industrial coating).

Typically, it can take anywhere from 10-12 hours to dry before being able to be walked on, but they will continue to harden for up to 48 hours after being applied. Concrete sealed with a urethane coating should not be walked on (with the exception of a recoat), driven on, or wet for at least 36-48 hours.

    Should concrete driveways be sealed?

It's highly recommended – for example when using concrete in a patio or a driveway. Sealing concrete in these cases helps keep the concrete looking fresh and preserves its longevity, as it helps prevent water from absorbing into the concrete and causing damage.

Is it worth sealing your concrete driveway?

Sealing and coating your concrete driveway will help better protect it from discoloration, staining, and damage from oil, salt, and other household chemicals

    What does polishing concrete do?

By densifying and sealing the surface, polished concrete transforms a porous concrete floor into a tightened stain resistent surface that is dense enough to repel water, oil, and other contaminants, preventing them from penetrating the surface.

    CONCRETE GRINDING AND REPAIR

    Concrete Grinding and Repair

    CONCRETE GRINDING AND REPAIR FAQ

    What is concrete grinding?

Concrete grinding and leveling is a process used to prepare raw concrete for other flooring alternatives, such as laminate or tiles. Grinding can also be used to smooth down rough concrete surfaces to create a more flat, even, and smooth surface.

How long does concrete floor grinding take?

A typical figure for completing a concrete grind and seal for an existing slab is 2-5 days. This of course will depend on the size of surface that the work is being completed on.

Does grinding concrete make it slippery?

As a general rule Mechanically Polished Concrete is slip resistant – but like many other flooring options it will be slippery when wet. If you need a flooring that is non-slip we would recommend doing a Grind and Seal method of polished concrete or another type of coating like an epoxy.

Do you have to seal concrete after grinding?

Yes, after your concrete has been ground back to a point where it is smooth and level, it's time to apply a finish to seal the surface, give it a distinctive look, and protect it from wear and tear.
